“He turned out the light and went into Jem’s room. He would be there all night, and he would be there when Jem waked up in the morning.” – To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee (via the-final-sentence)
→ The world has become a scary place.
Its crazy how this crap that’s making people fly into crazy rages and eat other people is still legal federally, but weed that makes people chill and eat Doritos is illegal -__-
“nine years is a long time; you’ve got to let go. …and 4 years, you might as well let that go too. it’s not gonna bring them back. take the opportunity set before you.” – Mom i think its funny how relationships work. the same things you complain about are the things you do. you say you hate it when i play games or im on other websites in the background while we oovoo, yet..after you hang up on me i see that you were on tumblr. i have every tab closed, but netflix until you mention something on my tumblr, and as soon as i open it you ask what im looking at. i let things go, or i do things differently to try to please you and it never works. and in the end i just feel so useless, because even the things i do to make this better don’t work…but i can only give so much. as i watch Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht I wonder who will be the one to take our kids skiing/snowboarding/ice skating and all that athletic stuff in the future. something tells me it will be me.
where are the little girls?; hey, bright eyes!
I hope to one day be like my great grandparents. They met when they were young, got married at 16 and 17 and are still together now that they are in their 80’s. They raised 4 kids, helped with 8 grand kids, and are still well enough to see their 9 great grand kids grow up, and they are even questioning when I will have kids. They are both still in a right state of mind, they know who we are, they know where we live, where we’re going to school, when our birthdays are, and how old we’re turning every year. They rarely argue unless its about whether to watch Westerns or Baseball. My grandmother happily cooks breakfast and dinner, while my granddad makes them lunch. My granddad drives them to church every Sunday, he drives her to the grocery store weekly, he drops her off at either my grandma’s house or her sisters house when he goes to the doctor, and he brings her into town for the hairdresser once a month, and treats her to lunch afterwards. They make fudge together at Christmas, and visit all of their kids house’s on Thanksgiving together. My granddad still prepares a plate for my grandmother, and he still kisses her on the forehead every night before he goes to bed. Before leaving her to watch Baseball at night, he tells her he loves her and that he will see her in the morning. My grandma always tells me that we’re lucky to have such loving great-grandparents, who have special names for us like “El Capitan, Bright Eyes, and Baby Girl”. Grandparents who have invested so much into us, and who have taught us how to love.
